Rather than hard wire the KDSPx board to the interior of the PC Box, I decided to use the Molex connnectors. A few problems arouse from these. First the RS232 connector is not setup for a straight line connector but by placing a 4 pin Molex on pins 2,3,4 and 5 of the DB-9 and then jumping the pin 9 to pin 4, I could get all the connections I needed. I then mounted an 8 pin Molex connector to P1 but had to trim the connector to fit in the space as R1 was in the way. If you mount a connector prior to placing R1, you can fit it in ok and R1 would physically be placed over R2 with no problem. Mounting a 12 pin Molex connector at P2 is no problem but the mating connector is an interference fit with the Processor board itself so I had to notch a part of the mating connector to allow room for the DSP processor. I also jumped the output for FL1 to P1 pin 7 to be brought out to the front panel of my DSP-10. Since this was a retrofit from the Easykit Lite, I already had my 5v regulator mounted on the back panel of the DSP-10 so I did not mount the regulator on the KDSPx board. I shorted the input/output of U5 and D5.
