This is a shot of the rig I build for NS1O prior to the Aug 2002 10g contest. I'll try to get a better photo with it mounted on the tripod.

This photo shows the construction of the plexiglass case for the FT-817. All controls are accessable through the front opening. While it will not protect the rig from a downpour, it will do ok in a light mist. The plexiglass was cut on a radial arm saw with a 200 tooth carbide blade. The panels were then cemented together with plexiglass solvent.

This photo shows the feedhorn end of the rig. The dish used is a Hughes Network dish. Since we wanted the rig to work on either Hughes or RCA, we mounted the horn on the rig rather than on the feed arm support. I do want to try to utilize the base of the LNB for mounting and will try that shortly.

This photo shows the interior of the box with the DB6NT transverter mounted with the antenna relay. I made the box by tig welding the sides to the base as I don't have any sheetmetal equipment. We made the box big enough for the addition of a LN Preamp, PA, and sequencer. NS1O now has the DL2AM 10w PA. Guess I've got more work to do.
